Religious leaders can assist measures aimed at combating climate change, Jack Noel Gerard, a leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said during a panel discussion at the Baku Global Summit of Religious Leaders on Tuesday, according to Report.

"Our Church has numerous initiatives focused on improving energy efficiency, utilizing renewable energy sources, conserving water, reducing waste, and ensuring sustainable development when it comes to constructing our temples and houses of worship," Gerard explained. "Additionally, we have initiatives aimed at the efficient use of our agricultural lands to ensure sustainable farming practices and food security, not only for ourselves but for others in need."

Gerard also congratulated Azerbaijan and its leadership for taking responsibility in addressing climate issues and wished them success at the upcoming COP29 conference.
