Ombudsman's representatives study problems of citizens repatriated from Syria

Representatives of the Ombudsman's Office studied the problems of citizens repatriated from Syria to Azerbaijan.

Report informs citing the Ombudsman's Office, on September 18, six citizens of Azerbaijan, including 4 children, 1 man and 1 woman, who were held in camps in Syria, were repatriated to the country.

Representatives of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) met with the repatriates and studied the situation with ensuring their rights.

During the meeting, the repatriates' general condition was assessed, problems and needs were studied, and recommendations were given on protecting their rights.

The repatriates were also provided with information about the possibility of appealing to the ombudsman.
