The Azerbaijani government, along with foreign investors, is currently investing heavily in the country's green energy sector, said Majnun Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Minister and Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Report informs.
He made the remark during the 6th session of the commission in Baku.
The minister stated that Azerbaijan plays a crucial role in Europe's energy security, and the country is considered a reliable partner.
"We have strong energy cooperation with Bulgaria. The recent opening of SOCAR's office in Sofia, and the memorandum signed within the framework of the Solidarity Ring initiative are evidence of our strong desire to expand this cooperation,” Mammadov pointed out.
