Ambassador: Lukashenko's visit boosted cooperation between Baku and Minsk

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko's visit to Azerbaijan boosted the cooperation between Baku and Minsk, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov told an event dedicated to the Independence Day of his country, Report informs.

"The recent successful visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that our strategic partnership will be strengthened and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries will actively develop based on the traditions of friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples," he said.

The ambassador noted that Azerbaijani servicemen also fought for the liberation of Belarus from fascist occupation, and 12 of them were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union: “Our people made an important contribution to the overall victory of the Soviet people. In this regard, I want to express my special gratitude to the veterans.”
