Azerbaijani brigade commanders, deputies, and training chiefs convene for strategic meeting

The Military Administration Institute of the National Defense University hosted sessions with the participation of brigade commanders and their deputies, as well as operational and combat training branches (units) chiefs, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.

The graduation ceremony held at the Azerbaijan Army's Training and Educational Center on the occasion of the completion of sessions was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, and other senior staff of the ministry.

First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

The Chief of the General Staff greeted participants on behalf of the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, congratulated them on the successful completion of the sessions, and wished them success in their future military service.

Colonel General Karim Valiyev spoke about the reforms carried out in the Azerbaijan Army under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing that the training of professional officers in line with current requirements is one of the priority issues.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense highlighted the importance of the presentation of JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the International Defense Exhibition ADEX held in Baku.

In the end, the personnel who successfully completed the sessions were awarded certificates.
