Sheikh ul-Islam to attend 10th Global Forum of UN Alliance of Civilizations

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada, will travel to Portugal on November 25 to participate in the 10th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, Report informs, citing the Caucasian Muslims Office.

Upon invitation from Miguel Angel Moratinos, High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, Sheikh ul-Islam Pashazada will participate in the opening of the 10th Anniversary Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations themed "United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Shaping the Future" in Cascais, Portugal on November 26-27. He will deliver speeches at the first plenary session on "Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity" and at the Global Conference on Protection of Religious Sites.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will attend the 10th Global Forum dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.

On November 27, Sheikh ul-Islam Pashazada will participate in the first meeting of the newly composed Board of Directors of the KAICIID International Dialogue Centre in Lisbon of which Pashazada is a member of.
