Azerbaijan and Masdar company discuss expanding cooperation

During the visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with the CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

Expansion of cooperation through new projects on energy production from renewable sources was the main subject of discussion at the meeting held at Abu Dhabi's Masdar Headquarters. Masdar's cooperation proposals were evaluated within Azerbaijan's green energy policy and targets in technical-economic and other aspects.

At the meeting, the work carried out on the commissioning of the Garadagh SPP in the scheduled time, and mutual steps to speed up the implementation process were also considered. The sides also noted that the projects currently implemented and planned with Masdar are great opportunities that will ensure the export of electricity and hydrogen from renewable sources, as well as contribute jointly to the reduction of carbon emissions.
