There are political prisoners in France, MP Mathilde Panot, the President of the La France Insoumise group in the French National Assembly, declared on a live broadcast on FranceInfo TV, Report informs.
Panot emphasized the importance of each country addressing its own issues: "You know that we also have political prisoners, and I say this. Yes, we have political prisoners. I am referring to the chairman of the Kanak and the Socialist National Liberation Front (FLNKS) and I demand his immediate release. He is currently in prison 17,000 km from his home.
