OTP Bank in Hungary stops servicing Gazprombank's UnionPay cards

OTP Bank in Hungary has stopped servicing UnionPay payment system cards issued by Russian Gazprombank, Report informs via TASS.

When requesting cash withdrawal at an ATM, a warning is displayed stating that such cards are not accepted by this bank.

OTP was the only bank in Hungary that serviced UnionPay cards issued by Gazprombank at its ATMs.

Gazprombank assured clients that its bank cards, including those of foreign payment systems, will continue to work throughout Russia.

At the same time, the credit institution notified clients that it is experiencing difficulties with UnionPay cards abroad, and on November 21 advised them to withdraw cash in the near future.
