Amount of cereals allocated for beer production up in Azerbaijan

In 2023, 2.03 million tons of cereals and legumes (except rice) were used in the production of food products in Azerbaijan, 1.9% less year-on-year, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Last year, 87.6% of cereals and grain legumes intended for the production of food products, or 1,782,725 tons, were used for the production of flour and semolina (2.1% less), 33,330 tons were used for the production of alcohol (10.6% less YoY), 65,821 tons were used for the production of beer (12.4% more YoY), and 152,156 tons were used for the production of other food products (3.3% less YoY).
