Diplomat: 2026 will be marked as International Year of the Woman Farmer

The year 2026 will be marked as the International Year of the Woman Farmer, Head of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Co-Chair of the Global Initiatives Group of the COP29 Action Agenda, Elmar Mammadov, said at the Sustainable Development Goals Dialogue on "Voices of the Future: Coordinating Climate Action and Efforts Towards Global Goals" held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Mammadov, Azerbaijan has joined as a co-author to the resolution regarding this global initiative: "Taking into account Azerbaijan's views in this area, we pay special attention to women farmers within the framework of the harmony initiative."
