Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is in Germany to attend the G7 summit, has pledged roughly $200 million to offset the global food instability Report informs, citing NHK.
The money that Kishida has pledged is designed to help Ukraine, as well as Middle Eastern and African countries, hit hard by soaring food prices.
Food insecurity is among the main topics being discussed at the summit of G7 leaders, which takes place from June 26 to 28.
