Total of 43.1M eggs imported from Azerbaijan to Russia

As of May 20, since the beginning of supplies of food eggs to Russia, 43.1 million eggs have been imported from Azerbaijan, and 26.8 million eggs from Türkiye, reads a message of Rosselkhoznadzor (Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision), Report informs.

From May 13 to 19, the next batch of food eggs from Azerbaijan in the amount of 1.2 million, and from Türkiye – 950,400 eggs arrived through the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint for further sale in Russia.

In addition, the import of four batches of food chicken eggs from Türkiye in the amount of 1.7 million was controlled through the Novorossiysk Sea Port checkpoint.

Since the beginning of 2024, 280.6 million eggs have been imported from Belarus, which is 2.7 times more than in the same period last year.

“Based on the results of the control, a decision was made to allow the import of food chicken eggs for further sale on the territory of the Russian Federation. All received products meet the requirements of Russia,” reads the statement.
