In what is already a Primetime Emmy Awards evening of several wins for FX’s second season of The Bear, Jeremy Allen White, aka top chef Carmy on the show, picked up his second Emmy win for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Report informs referring to the Deadline.

Thanking his family and cast Sunday, White beamed, “This show has changed my life. It instills a faith that change is possible, that change is possible – if you’re able to reach out, you’re really, truly never actually alone.”

White plays Carmy, a onetime Michelin-starred chef who goes through a career crisis and is forced to take over his late brother’s Chicago Beef sandwich shop, which he struggles to transform amid financial turmoil and an off-the rails cousin, Richie, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach (who also took home his second Emmy win for The Bear tonight). Carmy ends Season 2 in a cliffhanger, locked in the fridge, his romance with girlfriend Claire in a bind.

White’s acceptance speech was bleeped out, the actor exclaiming “Oh f*ck” when he was alerted about going over time.

White beat out Matt Berry for What We Do in The Shadows, Larry David for Curb Your Enthusiasm, Steve Martin and Martin Short for Only Murders in the Building, and D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai for Reservation Dogs.

The Bear so far tonight counted Season 2 wins as well for Liza Colón-Zayas winning Best Supporting Actress Comedy Series, while Jamie Lee Curtis Best (Guest Actress in a Comedy Series) and Jon Bernthal (Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series) won last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys.
