Proud to have such star in history of Azerbaijani music, museum director says about Muslim Magomayev

The public of the post-Soviet space remembers Muslim Magomayev as a pop-idol, Alla Bayramova, the director of the State Museum of Musical Culture, honored cultural figure and Doctor of Art History, said.

"We are proud to have such a star in the history of Azerbaijani music," she noted.

According to the museum director, at the exhibitions abroad, particularly in Russia, Muslim Magomayev always becomes an object of history, no matter the topic of discussion.

"They ask us whether there is Muslim Magomayev's museum. People seek to hear more stories, more information about him," Bayramova said.

On the birthday of Azerbaijan's outstanding Opera and Pop Singer Muslim Magomayev, the leadership of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture today visited his grave at the Alley of Honor.
