Azerbaijan, Qatar may establish SME trading platforms

During the visit to Qatar, the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov held a series of meetings.

In the conference with the First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari, they exchanged views on potential partnership opportunities, enhancing ties between entrepreneurs through mutual trade and business missions, creating new platforms for developing SME trade relations.

The meeting with Abdulrahman bin Hisham Al Suwaidi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Development Bank, discussed the issues arising from the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed between SMBDA and the bank in St. Petersburg in June this year.

SMBDA representatives also got acquainted with the activities of the business incubator established in Qatar to support entrepreneurs.
