In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan was among the top three countries for the annual growth rate of air cargo transportation from Poland, Report informs, citing the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland.
In January-March, the USA (9,200 tons more), France (1,900 tons more) and Azerbaijan (500 tons more) took the first places according to the annual growth rate of the volume of air cargo transported from Poland.
During the reporting period, the total volume of air cargo transported from Poland was 45,000 tons, which is 13.3% more year-on-year and 65% more than in the first quarter of 2019.
Most of the cargo was transported by the LOT Polish airline. The main cargo routes were the US, Germany, and France.
In the same period, most of the cargo was transported from Chopin Airport in Warsaw (23,200 tons), which made up about 52% of the total cargo. Jasionka Airport in Rzeszów (11,200 tons) and Pirzovice Airport in Pyrzowice (7.6 thousand tons) are in the next rank.
