Azerbaijan to implement tax incentives for renewable energy producers

Azerbaijan will introduce tax incentives for businesses that contribute to environmental improvement and produce renewable energy, Ahmad Ahmadov, Head of the Department of Legislation Monitoring and Business with Business Subjects of the Tax Policy Department of the State Tax Service under Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, announced at the “8th Eurasian Forum for Accountants and Auditors in Baku, Report informs.

Ahmadov highlighted that, as part of the “Green Energy” strategy, additional economic incentives will be provided to encourage businesses involved in environmental activities and renewable energy production. These tax concessions aim to attract both local and foreign investments.

He also mentioned that they have been studying international practices to achieve national environmental goals, including the implementation of carbon assessment tools and other related measures.
