Azerbaijan to launch consular legalization system

is set to introduce the "Consular Legalization" information system, Anar Mammadov, Head of the Consular Issues Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), said during a meeting of the "Entering Business" working group, according to Report.

Mammadov revealed that a draft decree on the approval of the "Consular Legalization" information system has been prepared and submitted to the relevant government bodies. He said this initiative aims to simplify the application process for foreign legal entities seeking to invest in Azerbaijan, while also digitizing the procedures in this sphere

The next step, according to Mammadov, will be the creation of an open electronic registry system, which will help prevent document falsification.
