Through January to March this year, 3,218 foreign joint ventures with a capital of TRY 2.2 billion were set up in Turkey, Report states, referring to Turkish media.
During this period, 333 companies were established as joint-stock companies and LLCs. The share of foreign capital in the total of newly established companies increased to 88.14%.
Iran (200 companies), Syria (124), Jordan (84), and Libya (73) were among the foreign countries that created the biggest number of companies in Turkey. In the same period, Azerbaijanis established 70 companies in Turkey.
In the first three months of this year, the highest number of companies with foreign capital in Turkey was set up in Istanbul (2,031 companies). Antalya (158), Ankara (145), and Mersin (118) followed it.
