The Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication's Azexport portal and MeetUp Networking Club have launched a project to export Azerbaijani goods to Sri Lankan and Indian markets, Report informs, citing the center.
A meeting was held with Tani Shyen, a representative of an importing company operating in Sri Lanka. During the meeting, discussions were held on the introduction of a group of agricultural industry and food products manufactured in Azerbaijan to the retail network in Sri Lanka and India. Shyen was informed about the legislative requirements for necessary certification, customs, logistics, and insurance operations in the export procedures.
Azexport's head Aykhan Gadashov conducted an online presentation of Azerbaijani goods. Subsequently, agricultural products grown in Azerbaijan were tasted, and sales opportunities in the Sri Lankan and Indian markets were discussed.
The importing company representative's meetings are planned to continue at the orchards of companies operating in the agricultural sector and enterprises engaged in food production.
In the initial phase, it is planned to introduce various fruit juices, compote, tomato paste, hazelnuts, pomegranates, persimmons, quinces, plums and pears, as well as dried fruit products to retail networks in Sri Lankan and Indian markets. Entrepreneurs interested in cooperation in this regard can submit their proposals through the azexport.az portal and MeetUp Networking Club.
