The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) conducted surveys and interviews among business subjects in the country in order to study their need for 'EXIM bank' (export-import) tools, Report informs.
"The '2022-2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy' defines the provision of exporters' access to financial resources and products. The implementation period of this clause covers the years 2022-2026. In this direction, it is planned to determine the number of 'EXIM' products that will be applied initially in the pilot mode and, to implement these mechanisms and the provision of their use by entrepreneurs and exporters in the next periods. In this direction, additional analyses are currently being conducted with the experts of the World Bank. Taking into account the unsuccessful experience of a number of countries in this field, Azerbaijan is more sensitive to the issue," the agency said.
