Minister: Trade turnover between Stavropol and Azerbaijan increased by 10%

The foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with Russia's Stavropol Krai increased by 10% and exceeded $200 million in 2023, the Minister of Economic Development of the Region, Denis Polyubin, told TASS on the sidelines of the XII Russia-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum held in Mineralnye Vody, Report informs.

He noted that supplies to the republic make up 30% of total regional exports: "In 2023, the value of agricultural products exported from Stavropol to Azerbaijan, including grain, meat products, and products of the oil and fat industry, amounted to approximately $177 million. In addition, confectionery products, mineral water, and sausages were delivered from Stavropol to Azerbaijan."

Polyubin added that mineral fertilizers, plastic products, roof coverings, and electric meters are the most imported industrial goods from this part of Russia to Azerbaijan.
