"Amid problems created by the coronavirus pandemic, the governments of Azerbaijan and Russia will support the business world of the two countries on a mutual basis," Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach said, Report informs.
"The pandemic has affected the trade between our countries. However, the positive dynamics in trade have been maintained. The trade between the two countries has grown by 3.8% over the first five months of this year to reach $1,016 million. Exports from Russia to Azerbaijan rose by 2.6% to $836.6 million, imports from Azerbaijan gained 7.4%, reaching $324 million. It became possible owing to the historically created joint ventures and business support programs. We understand that there is a potential for increasing mutual trade based on projects implemented in Azerbaijan," he said.
