As part of a cooperation program for the South Caucasus region for 2017-2021, Switzerland has supported Azerbaijan in the solution of the problems of managing state departments, the development of relations in the field of food safety, the possibilities of macroeconomic forecasting, etc, Report informs, citing Alberto Hernandez, a representative of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus, who spoke at a press conference.
He said Switzerland also makes a great contribution to the development of the regional nations’ agro-industrial sector within the framework of this program, which is being implemented in all three countries of the South Caucasus and includes a large number of projects.
Hernandez noted that the World Bank is the main implementation partner, while others are the International Finance Corporation, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and local private companies.
