Trade mission of Netherlands to visit Azerbaijan

In July of this year, a trade mission consisting of representatives of companies operating in the water sector in the Kingdom of the Netherlands will visit Azerbaijan, Shahla Balakishiyeva,Senior Policy Officer of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to her, Meike van Ginneken, the Envoy for Water, will come to Azerbaijan in July: "The trade mission will be organized within the framework of the Envoy’s visit."

"Dutch water companies have been active in Azerbaijan since 2000. We want them to be more active here, so a trade mission will be organized," said Balakishiyeva.

She added that the organization of the Water Innovation Forum in Baku is planned: "The Netherlands wants to share its knowledge and skills within the framework of panel discussions at the forum."

Balakishiyeva also said that the Netherlands is one of the main countries in the world in the agricultural sector and the country is interested to expand business in this sector in Azerbaijan.
