Vasile Soare: Trade turnover between Romania and Azerbaijan reaches $700 million

Trade turnover between Romania and Azerbaijan amounted to $700 million, Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasile Soare said at a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Romania in Baku, according to Report.

The ambassador noted that Romania and Azerbaijan are successfully working on the implementation of important projects that contribute to ensuring the energy security of Central and Eastern Europe.

"Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary are cooperating in the implementation of a project for the supply of green energy from the Azerbaijani shelf of the Caspian Sea through the Black Sea to Constanta. From April 1, 2023, the first contract for the supply of 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Romania is being implemented. There is also the project for the transportation of liquefied natural gas from Azerbaijan through Georgia and the Black Sea to Romania," he said.
