Volume of investments between Azerbaijan and Latvia revealed

From 1995 to 2023, the volume of investment of Latvia in Azerbaijan amounted to $166 million, the volume of investment of Azerbaijan in Latvia amounted to $166 million, Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov said at the Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum, Report informs.

The deputy minister said that relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia are developing.

According to him, the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Latvia is increasing: "Thus, in 2023, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to 65 million, Azerbaijan's exports to Latvia increased by 64% and reached $45 million."

In January-February of this year, the trade turnover amounted to $6 million, of which $4 million was provided by imports and $2 million by exports.

As of the beginning of February this year, 69 companies with Latvian capital were registered in the fields of industry, transport, trade and services in Azerbaijan, with 48 of them active.
