All conditions have been created at the COP29 climate conference in Baku to ensure that the youth's voice is heard and their efforts in fighting climate change become effective, Azerbaijan's Youth Delegate to COP29, Aysel Azizova, told Report.
"At the conference, organizers are creating an environment for exchanging ideas and discussing the planet's future, demonstrating youth involvement in sustainability and climate issues," Azizova said.
She emphasized the significance of yesterday's meeting between UN Secretary-General António Guterres and young eco-activists from different countries worldwide.
According to Azizova, the importance of youth initiatives was discussed during the meeting.
"This dialogue helped us better understand the causes of climate change and possible solutions, providing valuable recommendations for further work. Mr. Guterres had a very meaningful meeting with us, answered our questions, and listened to us," she added.
