The processing of the COP29 Special Visa is expected to take 3 working days after submission of the application, Ismayil Rasulzada, head of the Asan Visa department at the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service), Report informs.
According to Rasulzada, special entry visas continue to be processed to ensure the comfort of official persons, delegations, and other guests visiting the country in connection with COP29, the 19th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement in Azerbaijan.
The department head recalled that in this regard, the development of a portal operating through the ASAN Visa system was launched in January: "During the past period, mutual integration has been ensured with COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)."
Rasulzade said that the COP29 Special Visa" is required from COP29 participants visiting Azerbaijan: "This visa can be obtained through both the official electronic visa portal and Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. Considering that dozens of thousands of participants from nearly 200 countries will join COP29, the portal operates in English, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, and Korean languages."
