Azerbaijan ambassador invites Iraqi Kurdistan prime minister to COP29

On Monday, September 9, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iraq, Nasir Mammadov. During the meeting, Ambassador Mammadov presented Prime Minister Barzani with an official invitation to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku at the end of 2024

The meeting also focused on strengthening bilateral relations, with both sides emphasizing the importance of establishing consular services to facilitate closer cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Kurdistan region.

Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the mutual benefits of expanded diplomatic and economic ties, expressing a commitment to promoting a stronger partnership with Azerbaijan.
