Azerbaijan, OPEC Fund for International Development mull energy security

Azerbaijan and the OPEC Fund for International Development discussed energy security and prospects for bilateral cooperation, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on X, Report informs.

The discussions took place at a meeting between Jabbarov and Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development on the sidelines of COP29 held in Baku.

“We emphasized the importance of implementing the energy transition on inclusive terms. Our discussions also focused on promoting sustainable development, ensuring energy security, economic diversification priorities, and prospects for bilateral cooperation,” the Azerbaijani minister said.
