It is important to create a supportive legal framework to encourage private sector investments in green technologies and improvement initiatives, said Nigar Mammadova, a member of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament), Report informs.

Mammadova made this announcement during a high-level roundtable discussion themed "Green Jobs and Skills," held within the framework of COP29.

"By introducing legislation that offers tax incentives or other stimuli for enterprises investing in sustainable practices, we can promote innovation while aligning with national climate targets," she stressed.

The MP further highlighted the crucial role of allocating adequate financial resources to green skill programs and retraining initiatives as a key component of this transition. "As a legislative body, we must prioritize funding for sustainable technologies, green job training, and educational programs. This is not only about achieving climate goals but also about securing the future of our economy and ensuring that our workforce is prepared for the changes ahead."
