Azerpost plans to use electric or hybrid vehicles in its operations

Azerpost LLC, owned by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, plans to use electric and hybrid vehicles in its operations, Isi Mustafayev, Acting Chairman of the company, said during and event titled "Using postal networks to impact global cargo emissions" held on the sidelines of COP29, Report informs, citing SOCAR.

"We are actively implementing climate control initiatives to minimize our environmental impact. Azerpost is optimizing delivery routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. We also plan to use electric and hybrid vehicles. The company is also reducing paper consumption and promoting digitalization. Additionally, we are optimizing our printing process to minimize paper consumption. Energy efficiency, sustainable logistics, reduction of paper consumption, and international cooperation are key development areas for building a green future for the postal industry in Azerbaijan," Mustafayev emphasized.
