COP28 Lead Negotiator: Joint effort needed to combat global biodiversity loss

COP28 Lead Negotiator Hana Alhashimi called for joining forces under COP29 presidency to combat global biodiversity loss.

According to Report, Alhashimi made this statement at the event "From Baku to Belem: Joint Mitigation and Adaptation - Amazon Regional Mechanism for Integrated and Sustainable Forest Management in the Context of Article 6.8 of the Paris Agreement."

"We must unite under the banner of solidarity, as required by the COP29 presidency, to decisively confront global biodiversity loss, viewing it as a key element in achieving climate resilience. We are firmly committed to achieving success and actively working on fulfilling the tasks set here in Baku and in Belen (in 2025)," she emphasized.
