Fighting climate change requires not only money, but also strong partnerships between countries, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elchin Zeynalov stated, Report informs.
Zeynalov spoke about this at an event titled "From Global Goals to Local Actions: Regional Initiatives for Strengthening Sustainable Agri-food Systems," held within the framework of COP29.
"COP29 is a platform for cooperation between countries. Climate change negatively affects land, water, as well as production of food. Supporting farmers is particularly important in fighting against it. In this regard, we support farmers through various mechanisms and provide subsidies for their development," he noted.
