Haber Global: OTS scientists working on early warning system for natural disasters at COP29

Scientists from Turkic states have gathered in Baku, and they are working on an early warning system to prevent natural disasters, Report informs via Turkish Haber Global TV.

According to the video report dedicated to COP29 in Baku, climate change increases the number of natural disasters: "This trend will continue in the upcoming period. Therefore, reducing the number of natural disasters is crucial. Experts have a big task in this matter."

It was noted that work continues on creating an early warning system for member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Nazim Mahmudov, head of the National Hydrometeorology Service of Azerbaijan, told Haber Global that mutual exchange of ideas and partnership continues on this issue.

Sadi Jafarov, Assistant Secretary General of OTS, in particular, stated that such a mechanism will help the Turkic world in fighting climate change.
