Kyrgyzstan to establish monitoring center for natural disasters

Climate change is becoming one of the most serious threats to sustainable development, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Bekzhan Rysmendeev told a ministerial roundtable on "Sustainable, Digital Middle Corridor and Beyond" held within the framework of COP29 in Baku, Report informs.

According to Rysmendeev, the Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan is working on creating a monitoring center to observie, prevent, and eliminate the consequences of natural disasters: "The main tool in this endeavor is the digital roadmap. This project serves as a catalyst for the development and integration of new data collection and analysis systems, combining existing automated services of the Ministry of Transport and Communications."
