Egypt plans to create "Green Energy Corridors" that will facilitate the distribution of renewable energy, Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat said at the Investment Forum on Energy Transition for Central Asia organized within the framework of COP29, according to Report.

"These corridors will also strengthen cooperation with Africa and the Arab world. Egypt has the opportunity to contribute to global energy transformation, thanks to renewable energy and its strategic geographical location. Egypt's renewable energy activities with partners have reached an important milestone: by 2030, the share of renewable energy is planned to reach 42%. This will reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 46 million tons per year by 2040," she noted.
