SOCAR Green and Water Resources Agency to develop energy efficiency roadmap

The State Agency of Water Resources (GAWR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SOCAR Green, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Report informs citing the Agency.

The objective of signing this document is to enhance energy efficiency in the country's water resources management and expand the implementation of renewable energy projects.

The memorandum outlines cooperation in conducting diagnostics of energy consumption in the Agency's operations, attracting technical consultants for specialized support, and developing a roadmap for implementing energy efficiency measures and renewable energy initiatives in the water resources management process.

Moreover, the memorandum highlights the shared interest of both organizations in exploring new projects that will contribute to achieving Azerbaijan's national sustainable and long-term goals.
