Tatiana Molchan: COP29 presidency has taken major steps to accelerate energy transition

The COP29 Presidency and partners have done enormous work over the past year to identify priorities that will accelerate a fair and sustainable energy transition, Tatiana Molchan, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), at the "Investment Forum on Energy Transition for Central Asia" within COP29.

According to Report, she emphasized that these measures will help overcome energy challenges:

"The commitments and declarations put forward by the COP29 Presidency and prepared with the participation of many organizations are an important step in the energy transition. Their implementation requires large-scale investments that will contribute to the decarbonization of energy production and industry. We are confident that cooperation will be key to ensuring energy security."
