Baku will host the Festival of Japanese Culture on May 15, Report informs.
The festival is organized by the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Japanese-Azerbaijani diplomatic relations.
During the festival, stands with samples of Japanese culture will be presented to the visitors. A demonstration of Japanese crafts and various stage performances will take place. Guests of the festival will have the chance to learn how ikebanas - flower arrangements - are assembled, a traditional Japanese tea ceremony is held, and origami (paper figures) are created. They will also get acquainted with the art of Japanese calligraphy and traditional Japanese clothing - kimono and yukata.
Entrance to the event is free.
