BBC World News announced a program named "Wonders of Azerbaijan - Silk Road," Report informs.
The program will be broadcast for the first time on August 20 at 09:30 Baku time (GMT +4), and then at different times until August 22 for different time zones.
In the program, historian Bettany Hughes talks about the extraordinary rock paintings in Gobustan, which are 40,000 years old. She then heads to Shaki, once an important stop for merchants traveling along the ancient Silk Road, and meets weavers who still produce silk in the traditional way.
Bettany Hughes will also acquaint the audience with a stunning glass palace - the Palace of the Shaki Khans, built at the expense of the wealth received from the silk trade.
