In September 2024, Azerbaijan will host a forum of Azerbaijani scientists living abroad, said Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Report informs.
Muradov made the remark during the official opening ceremony of the “Youth for Green World” 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth in Lachin.
The chairman noted that this significant event will be jointly organized by the Diaspora Committee and the Ministry of Science and Education.
According to him, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora has prepared a comprehensive five-year action plan.
"The creation of Karabakh University means putting Karabakh on the world education map. We should pay special attention to the promotion of the Azerbaijani language worldwide," Muradov emphasized.
He also announced an upcoming project to develop an English-language Azerbaijani grammar resource for foreigners: "The Azerbaijani language is our priority; every Azerbaijani should know their native language.
Muradov also addressed the challenges of negative propaganda against Azerbaijan, calling on young Azerbaijanis living abroad to inform their communities about the realities of their homeland.
"Today, there are double standards against Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan doesn't need special propaganda; it would be enough to convey the realities," he explained.
While highlighting the existence of over 300 Azerbaijani diaspora organizations worldwide, Muradov acknowledged that not all are equally effective. He urged young people to become more actively involved in diaspora activities.
