Aghdam hosts meeting of Working Group on clearing mines and unexploded ordnance clearance

The Working Group on clearing mines and unexploded ordnance clearance, operating under the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters established for addressing the issues in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan in a centralized manner, held a meeting in Aghdam, Report informs.

Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Working Group, Bashir Hajiyev, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region (except Shusha), Deputy Head of the Interagency Center for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Liberated Areas at the Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sultan Hajiyev, representatives of relevant state institutions represented in the working group and officials of the special representative office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, and the special representative office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts included in the Eastern Zangazur economic district participated in the event.

At the meeting of the Working Group, discussions were held on the mine and explosive device clearance activities of the areas intended for the implementation of relevant projects in the liberated territories per the requests received by the state and private structures and the priorities set by the government.
