Aliyev: Azerbaijani society, government unequivocally stand guard over national interests

Today, the Azerbaijani society and the Azerbaijani government unequivocally stand guard over national interests, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said while answering questions from young people at the Youth Forum.

"Today, globalization is taking root under another name. The primary purpose of this tendency is to interfere in different countries' internal affairs, unite people, especially young people, around so-called common values, raise cosmopolitan youth, and then, of course, govern those countries," the head of state noted.

President Ilham Aliyev said that if we look at the distant history, we can see that the goals and objectives do not change, but the form and methods of struggle change: "In the struggle for hegemony, particular attention is paid to countries of great importance, countries rich in natural resources, and countries with very strategic geographical location. As Azerbaijan also has all these factors, we have always seen it many times during the years of independence. We are facing this intention, we are resisting it, and I can say that we have been able to overcome these dangers. Today, the Azerbaijani society and the Azerbaijani government unequivocally stand guard over national interests."
