Azerbaijan to formalize ownership rights to shared land plots

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on some issues related to the regulation of land relations, Report informs.

According to the decree, decisions were made to continue measures of state support in the agricultural sector in order to complete work on registration of ownership rights to shared lands, as well as on the regular use of sowing subsidies by owners of agricultural land (farmers).

The Economy Ministry has been instructed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Land Reform’ on the basis of the lists approved by the decisions of the regional commissions on agrarian reform (local executive authorities), based on the appeal of persons who received a share in the privatized lands of liquidated state and collective farms, but didn’t register ownership of these lands, to ensure registration of real estate at the expense of the state budget in the state register and submission from the state register of property documents, plans and sizes of land plots within the time limits provided for in Article 9.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On the State Register of Real Estate.’
