Cabinet of Ministers extends validity of Mediation document

Cabinet of Ministers made amendments to the decisions of the On approval of fees and other expenses for the provision of mediation services during the initial session, On approval of the Rules for payment of mediation expenses from the state budget, and On approval of the Rules of mediation.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the decision, Report says.

The new resolution was prepared to ensure the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On Mediation" dated June 19, 2020, No. 133-VIQD.

According to the measures, the provisions related to participation in the initial mediation session before going to court on commercial disputes, as well as conflicts arising from family and labor relations, come into force from January 1, 2021, instead of July 1, 2020. 

In this regard, changes were made in the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolutions of Azerbaijan No. 308 of July 15, 2019, No. 360 of August 16, and No. 385 of September 5, 2019.
