Coalition For Civil Society reports no complaints from candidates on election day

The election monitoring coalition For Civil Society has reported receiving no complaints from candidates during the voting day of Azerbaijan's parliamentary elections for the Milli Majlis, Zaur Ibrahimli, co-founder of the coalition and head of the Priority Center for Social and Economic Research, said during a press conference.

According to Report, Ibrahimli noted that 538 observers from the coalition participated in monitoring the process across 75 electoral districts.

"We visited polling stations in Khankandi, Shusha, Khojaly, Zangilan, Fuzuli, Lachin, as well as in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The chairpersons of several polling stations in the regions attempted to hinder our observers' work under various pretexts, but the issue was promptly resolved after appeals to the Central Election Commission (CEC)," he stated.

The CEC consistently informed the public about the progress of voting and the results. Furthermore, all necessary conditions were created for journalists to carry out their work.

Ibrahimli emphasized that the voting proceeded peacefully, with all electoral procedures being followed. According to the coalition representative, complaint and appeal mechanisms were accessible to all participants in the process.
