Conference in Baku explores international legal framework for return to Western Azerbaijan

The Westen Azerbaijan Community has hosted an international scientific conference titled "International legal bases of return to Western Azerbaijan", Report informs via Caliber.Az.

The event was held on the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, reflecting the ongoing commitment to addressing historical and legal issues pertaining to the region.

Leaders, MPs, distinguished lawyers, and representatives from central bodies of the Western Azerbaijan Community convened to deliberate on pressing legal matters concerning the return to Western Azerbaijan. The conference provided a platform for in-depth discussions on various aspects related to the rights of Western Azerbaijanis to return to their homeland, emphasizing the utilization of modern international legal instruments to realize the objectives outlined in the Concept of Return.

The primary focus of the conference was to explore avenues for implementing the provisions of the Concept of Return, with the overarching goal of safeguarding the rights of Azerbaijanis who were displaced from the territory of present-day Armenia.
